Hi! My name is Miriam. Welcome to my website.
I am an Ofsted-registered childminder working in Cox Green, Maidenhead. I have completed an Ofsted approved Paediatric first aid course, passed my exam for Unit 1 of the Diploma in Home Based Childcare and have references from families where I have been a nanny recently and have other character references - all checkable. I have two children of my own, a six year old boy and an eight year old girl. I am able to do school and nursery pickups from Wessex Primary School and other nurseries by arrangement (e.g. Birdwood in Maidenhead). I have lots of experience with young children having worked as a nanny and in day nurseries. Both myself and my husband have Ofsted enhanced CRB checks.

We live in a large four bedroom detached house with a playroom with lots of toys, games and craft activities. There is a large enclosed garden with a trampoline, swing and outdoor toys for summer fun. We also have two lovely guinea pigs, Katie and Sarah. There is a spare bedroom upstairs with a cot and bed for children to sleep during the day as needed.
There is a park ten minutes walk away and during the summer I take the children out for day trips and to have fun. I offer a full programme of activities such as toddler groups, cooking and music groups, and the children also spend lots of time in my home doing themed activities. Children are cared for following the EYFS guidelines.
Ofsted Inspection
I was inspected by Ofsted in November 2009. I was awarded the grade Good. The Ofsted inspector spends time with the childminder whilst they are caring for children and observes and reports what they find. You can read/print my full Ofsted inspection report here (opens new window).
